Children & Youth Workers

WHO: Full-time & part-time youth workers at South Georgia Conference UMC churches

WHAT: A one-night getaway in a beautiful location with like-minded counterparts from across our conference

WHERE: Little Ocmulgee State Park, Helena, GA: a central location to minimize driving and maximize community 

WHEN: Thursday, January 20 at 2:00pm through Friday, January 21, 2021 at noon.

WHY: Because it's time to remember our calling...our why. The last 18 months have been the hardest times to navigate in youth ministry and we're still trying to rebuild. Youth ministry has changed and we need the tools, the relationships and reliance on God (and God alone) to continue. 

We need each other - people who are walking in our exact shoes.

We need truth - people to speak into us what God is AND CAN DO in the middle of all of this. 

We need hope - people coming together to worship; to reset; to learn; to encourage; to dream...again.

HOUSING

Housing for the 1-night event will be in the Lodge Rooms at Little Ocmulgee State Park. They are spacious, clean, and will have 2 double beds in each. You can choose to room with someone (of your choice or we can choose) for a lower price, or have a single room.

REGISTRATION

The fee for the event is $100 (double occupancy) or $150 (single occupancy) and will cover the cost of a 1-night stay in a Lodge Room at Little Ocmulgee State Park as well as dinner on the 20th and breakfast on the 21st. Most programming costs will be handled by the South Georgia Conference. Click here to register.

Refund Policy: For cancellations the week of the event, a total refund less $50.00 (non-refundable deposit) will be given. To make notice of cancellation or change, you must make it in writing to suzanne@sgaumc.com
